Arlanda Express

Johan Larsvall at design company Idesign was commissioned to create the "the train of the future" for Arlanda Express. An important part of the project was the creation of a new seat based on Johan's preliminary designs.

"Train of the future"

We were approached, and we decided to work with Idesign and engineering consultants Traveldesign to develop a model that would be a viable production item. An intensive project with tight deadlines was launched. Deliveries began just over a year later. The success of the Arlanda Express project was recognized when it won the "Red Dot Design Award 2011".
